There is a way to fix Unfortunately App Has Stopped on Android devices

Although Android is the best ecosystem right now, it doesn’t always work 100% so it will have some minor issues after using it.

One of the problems is when you see a pop-up on the screen saying “Unfortunately, the application has stopped” (Unfortunately, the app has stopped). This problem usually occurs when the application is running or being used which results in data loss. Here are a few methods that you can use to solve this problem.

Soft Reset

Sometimes the application is completely stopped which can be solved by resetting the software. So soft reset means turning off the phone and leaving it on for a few seconds and then restarting it.

As an electronic device, smartphone it often happens and you just need to reset the software to solve the problem. You should completely power off your phone at least once a day but that may not be necessary.

Force Stop (Force Stop)

Force stop simply means you take the action of shutting down the app under normal circumstances and reopening it. When you stop an application it removes the process associated with it. To find out, follow the steps below.

  1. Go to your phone settings
  2. Go to the application section
  3. Find the apps you want to stop
  4. Open it
  5. Touch “FORCE STOP” (force stop).

Now you open your application should perform normally.

Clear app cache and app data

Sometimes clearing the app cache can solve the problem. To clear the application cache, open the applications in the application manager and click on “CACHE CLEAR“.

If the problem is still not resolved, try clearing app data. Clearing app data will clear the app cache too. Deleting application data may result in the deletion of all information stored in the application so ensure that you have the necessary backup for the information. To clear app data, open the app in application manager and click on “CLEAR DATA“.

Uninstall and reinstall the app

Sometimes uninstalling the app and reinstalling it from the Google Play Store can also solve the problem and clear the list of non-system apps.

Clean up system memory

This problem is available across many apps i.e. when the app is in use and you don’t use it, it will still work normally in the default mode so you need to clear the system cache.

  1. Power off the phone
  2. Now you press the key combination: Volume up + Volume down + Power. After successful click it will put your phone into recovery mode recovery.
  3. Use the volume buttons to move to the “Wipe Cache Partition“.
  4. Next use the Power button to select it.
  5. Choose “System Reboot” to restart the phone and at the same time the cache will be cleared.

Factory Reset (Factory Reset)

If the methods outlined above do not resolve the issue, you may have to perform a factory reset.

Before performing a factory reset make sure that all your data is backed up as you will lose all data after the reset.

To do a factory reset go to your phone’s settings options then select “Backup & reset” and “Personal“, then touch and select “Factory data reset“. This will fix the error”Unfortunately, the app has stopped“.
