Instructions to disable unused Bloatware on Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus

Current Galaxy devices Samsung’s are known for the number of devices they release. Most of them are TouchWiz apps and services that you barely need. Although it is a Samsung innovation on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. The Galaxy S8 branded Galaxy S8 models come with a bunch of other extras and it’s a complete waste that also degrades performance. Usually, you can’t get rid of all the clutter that you don’t use without rooting. Fortunately, you can at least disable all the bloatware on the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus pretty easily too.

However, you will need to use an app called Package Disabler Pro, this is a paid app. It works for any Samsung device and it’s a powerful app, priced at $1.49 (US Dollar). The application can disable installed system packages, it can list you which ones are safe to disable to make sure the device stays safe. If you disable important system packages it can cause problems, so when you perform debloating your Galaxy S8 alone there can be dangers lurking if done wrong.

BAYmustafa96 a member of XDA gave us an easy solution to use XML files to debloat more than 120 applications in one go using the Disabler pro package. If you are not satisfied with the performance of your beautiful new Galaxy device but are too worried about shutting down unnecessary redundant apps.

Install Package Disabler Pro

As mentioned, this is a paid app so you will have to purchase it from the Google Play Store before you can install it. That said, if you’re a Samsung fan and plan to continue buying Samsung devices, this app is pretty much worth it. After installing the application, you open it and use it.

Install PD Engine

Due to some recent changes introduced by Samsung, Package Disabler Pro needs to add full functionality. Don’t worry because unlike Package Disabler Pro, this addon feature is completely free, so you can go to Google Play Store and install it.

Download the Remove Bloatware file

It’s time to download the BAYmustafa96 XML file we mentioned earlier. This file automatically disables more than 120 applications through the Disabler Pro package. You can download it from the link below.

How to disable bloatware

You now have everything needed to continue launching Package Disabler Pro. Tap the three-dot menu icon in the upper right corner of the screen and select Import from xml. On the pop-up window that appears, tap the . button Select and navigate to the bloatware disabler XML file you downloaded earlier. Select the file and tap the . button Import on the pop-up window. The Disabler Pro package handler will disable over 120 applications that use XML files.

Once the process is complete, you will receive a notification letting you know. You can now exit the app and use your device normally, hopefully noticing some positive changes. There is also a chance that you may have disabled some of the apps that you actually use. Apps like Bixby, People Edge, and Google Play Music are all disabled but if you use any of the disabled apps, don’t worry. You can go back to the Disabler Pro package, scroll down the list and find the app you’re missing, then just uncheck the box next to it.

In theory, disabling a lot of useless packages should give your device a performance boost. It also means a bit of RAM usage, resulting in around 1.6GB of free RAM. After using it you will feel it better. If you have any comments, please share by commenting below so everyone can know.
