Modern smartphones and electronic devices both emit some radiation, but they both generate heat, and this heat depends on the device. Normally during operation it generates not a high enough heat to warm your hand, but if you keep calling or playing apps continuously, temperature will increase rapidly. Sometimes the operating system crashes and can damage your device.
Just like we take care of ourselves in the summer with sunscreen and drink plenty of water, we should take care of your own smartphone, but not with water or cream. With my 5 years experience of using different smartphones, I’ve got some good experience to fix your device overheating. If your device is generating too much heat, follow these methods to cool it down.
How to fix overheating on Android devices
Overheating issues are a fairly general problem that cannot be fixed permanently, so you need to make sure you do the following to prevent your device from overheating.
1. Charge your phone properly
If you are looking for a way to fix heating problems on your device, this is the first way. Many devices have a tendency to heat up while charging but this is mainly due to improper battery charging. It is quite important that you follow all safety measures while charging. Follow the instructions below which may or may not be included in your manual.
- Make sure the phone is out of the case while charging.
- Do not place the device near anything hot when plugged in.
- Always use a compatible charger and cable to eliminate overheating.
- Many of us do this often, often using our phones while it’s charging. It may generate more heat and may cause an explosion.
- You should fully charge your phone during the night and during the day, you only need to charge it to about 80 -> 90% of the battery.
2. Turn off unused features
If the status bar on your phone is too much like Bluetooth, WiFi, mobile data, hotspot or link sharing, then this could be the culprit. Many people just leave Bluetooth and WiFi ON even when not in use. This will cause overheating problems as the device will constantly check for nearby devices and networks. It is also not recommended to connect to WiFi for long, unless you have a very good network connection.
So if you don’t use any features, turn them off. This will reduce the amount of battery used and solve the problem of overheating. If you forget, use the auto-brightness feature to suit your surroundings.
3. Case / Cover
We agree that the case of protecting the glass and back of the device is good, but sometimes it interferes with the heat dissipation on the device and can cause extra heat. This usually happens when you use your phone to communicate and play apps. So when you go to remove it when using and when not in use, put it in the case and cover.
4. Your phone is not a gaming console or a DSLR
In fact, a smart mobile device allows you to play all kinds of console or DSLR games, but it is still not a dedicated device for gamers no matter how high-end your device is. again. Since the hardware on your device is capable of handling graphics intensive games but the size of your device will not escape thermodynamics. Continuous and rapid deterioration of phone battery and processing capacity will lead to rapid heat generation.
5. CPU hogging apps cause heat
Applications all need CPU usage to function, but there are a lot of applications that use the CPU too much, causing more heat and using more hardware resources. That’s why you need to remove applications that use up too much CPU causing CPU heat. You can get an idea from various system statistics like battery, memory and CPU usage. If it is too much work, you can install a monitoring app like “DU Phone Cooler&Cooler Master”.
This app will keep track of all apps and other services to give you a list of apps using resources. It also monitors the device temperature and automatically gives you an alert to cool it down.
6. Never Use Torch
The Torch application is a flashlight application that lights up at night or flashes a flash when there is an incoming call or new information on the phone is updated. It is also the cause of the battery drain, generating extra heat because it has to work and so you need to avoid using it.
These are some of the best methods followed by many smartphone users. If you have any more tips, let us know in the comments below.
