Displays the amount of RAM usage in Color OS tasks

Color OS may not be the best Android skin. However, we can all agree that Oppo has integrated some useful features in the Color OS operating system. You can even view RAM usage in recent tasks in seconds with just a few taps. This feature may not be suitable for most non-tech savvy individuals. However, those who want to monitor the device’s performance and stats can view the RAM usage in Color OS recent tasks.

Therefore, every time you launch the recent tasks screen, you will be able to see the available RAM and the total RAM on your device. There is an option to view RAM/Memory information which can be helpful to understand which apps use the most RAM while running. Therefore, if you often want to check the available RAM on your device, follow the steps below to see the RAM usage in recent tasks. The feature is pretty basic and offers no other control over RAM usage. Therefore, only enable it if you need to see RAM usage at any point.

Enable RAM usage in recent tasks

Before we check out how to enable RAM usage in recent tasks, you may also want to check out how to change the Swipe Gestures setting in Color OS 6.1. So without further ado, let’s see how to view RAM/memory information in recent tasks.

  1. Launch menu Setting on your Oppo/Realme smartphone.
  2. Click Additional settings.
  3. You will see an option titled “Show RAM/memory information for recent tasks”.
  4. Toggle options by tapping the toggle switch.

That’s it. Every time you open the recent tasks menu, you will see your device’s RAM usage under the close all button. In case you don’t want to see RAM usage in recent tasks, then turn the option off again. Fortunately, you don’t need to restart your device. So you can turn it off or on at any time.

It is worth noting that today most devices have 4GB RAM or more. Therefore, you can hardly use all the RAM available on the device. Especially if you have a smartphone with 8GB RAM or more. However, this feature is welcome and most techies would appreciate having this option.
